Thursday, May 1, 2008 6:30 - 9:00 pm Live Templates and Scripting Engines Presented by Jim McKeeth Live Templates are a powerful (and too little used feature) introduced with Delphi 2006. They allow you to work smarter, reduce repetitive keystroke sequences, and tailor BDS 2006, CRS 2007 to your way of coding. Jim McKeeth will be presenting a session on Live Templates and Scripting for Delphi 2006 and 2007. Not content with the concept of live templates for mere mortals, Jim has developed a live template for scripting engines, and in his own words "... I can pop out a scripting engine now faster then you can say 'Delphi Rocks'". You can read about this on Jim's blog at: http://www.davinciunltd.com/2008/04/scripting-engine-unit-template/ or you can attend our Delphi User's group meeting and see a live demo.
Jim McKeeth, who recently relocated to the Pacific North West from the Boise Idaho area to work for WideOrbit, will be presenting. Before moving here, Jim was the 7 year president of the Boise Software Developers Group and Camp Director at the Boise Code Camp. He also presented at BorCon, CodeRage, and CodeRage II. In addition to presenting, he is also a co-contributor to the book Building Web Applications with ADO.NET and XML Web Services for the chapter on consuming .NET Web Services on Linux with Kylix.
